Our process

A thoughtful plan takes conversation.

Estate planning is a series of considered decisions, not a document drop. We guide you through five stages, with room for the education and questions that make the work personal.

Five stages

From first questions to a plan in place.

01

Discovery Call

Short, to see if we’re a good fit.

We talk briefly about what brought you here, the kind of help you’re looking for, and whether our approach fits what you need next.

02

Life & Legacy Planning Session

About two hours, deliberately unrushed.

We slow down and learn about your family, relationships, assets, responsibilities, and the decisions you want to make easier. You can bring questions without needing a finished list of answers.

03

Plan Design

A strategy shaped around your life.

We explain the planning tools that may fit, how the pieces can work together, and what practical choices deserve attention. You’ll understand the reasoning before deciding how to move forward.

04

Drafting and Review

Documents, explained and reviewed with you.

We prepare the documents for your plan and walk through them in plain English. This is where questions, edits, and the details of your family’s situation belong.

05

Signing and Implementation

Put the plan into place.

We complete the signing process and help identify the practical steps that support the plan, such as ownership, beneficiary, and implementation details.

What to expect

Room to think. Help to think it through.

01

Room to think

Important decisions deserve a pace that gives you time to ask, talk, and consider.

02

Plain English

We explain what each piece does and how it connects to the rest of the plan.

03

A collaborative process

Your family context and priorities guide the work from the first conversation forward.

04

Clear next steps

You’ll know what we discussed, what comes next, and what decisions are still yours.

Before we meet

What to bring to your consultation

Bring what you have. If you don’t have everything, come anyway. The first conversation is a place to begin.

  • Questions you want to make sure we cover
  • A rough list of assets and approximate values, if available
  • Existing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, or health care documents, if any
  • Family details and relationships that may shape the plan
  • Business ownership or real estate information, if relevant

No perfect binder required. We can start with the picture you have today.

A thoughtful next step

Bring your questions. We’ll start there.
